Portable Air Scrubbers/Negative Air Machines feature 2-stage filtration "prefilters" to capture larger particulates and HEPA filters to capture microscopic particulates, combined with a blower and ducting system. They are utilized for cleaning the air of a variety of ariborne contaminants during disaster restoration, construction, mold remediation, sewage cleanups and renovation projects. Dirt, drywall dust, sawdust, asbestos fibers, mold and fungal spores, bacteria and other contaminants are safetly removed from the air to help protect workers. The units feature superior performance utilizing particulate prefilters, carbon adsorption filters, HEPA filters for special applications.
All models include a HEPA filter with a minimum particulate efficiency of 99.97% at 0.3 microns for capturing microscopic particles. First the area being treated is enclosed to provide containment. Negative pressure is created by exhausting filtered air outside the enclosed area through flexible ducting to create a lower (negative) pressure inside the enclosed area compared to surrounding areas. This negative pressure helps to prevet the spread of containminants to unexposed areas.
